A blast on Friday morning has killed two people and injured one in Nanyang City, central China's Henan Province.

Initial investigation by explosives experts indicates that it could be caused by electronic detonators.

The explosion blew at around 10 a.m. on the first floor of an apartment building located in the urban and rural conjunction area of the city, said Li Dewei with the local police.

The two men who were killed are tenants living in the building. The injured person was said by witnesses as a woman and has run away from the spot. The local police has been looking for this injured person for further investigation.

Residents from the building have been evacuated.

Luckily, no children in a kindergarten about 20 meters away from the blast scene were injured, said Li. The kindergarten has been closed then. Glass of some windows was broken.
