On the morning of March 30, a demonstration base for national emergency preparedness and first-aid training officially opened in Sangzao Middle School in Anxian County, Sichuan Province. There was a donation ceremony and training activities to mark the occasion.

This is part of the Guard Life program or emergency avoidance and first-aid training program for students and teachers in earthquake-stricken areas sponsored by the Training Centre of the Red Cross Society of China.

May 12 this year is China's first day for disaster prevention and reduction. The emergency avoidance and medical aid training conducted in Sangzao Middle School has a positive significance on the publicity of danger prevention as well as medical aid knowledge to help oneself and others, and the construction of a people-oriented harmonious society.
