A cement truck hit a support beam for a traffic bridge in central China's Hunan Province around 5:40 a.m. Friday.
It was traveling under the Beijing-Zhuhai freeway, near Chenzhou, when it hit the beam for the overpass.
The extent of the damage is not known, but a Xinhua reporter is en route to the scene and will provide updates.
Traffic is being re-routed to National Highway 107 in order to circumvent this section, according to the Hunan Provincial Freeway Administration .
The Beijing-Zhuhai Freeway, extending 2,310 km, starts in Beijing, runs through Hebei, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, ending in Zhuhai, a coastal city in south China's Guangdong Province. Source:Xinhua
