Five people, who had been trapped by mountain torrents Thursday at Huatanshan Town of Shangrao County, eastern China's Jiangxi Province, were confirmed dead, local government sources said Saturday.
After 24 hours of rescue efforts, the five builders with Fengshuwan Power Station, who had been trapped by the mountain torrents since Thursday afternoon, were found dead on Friday afternoon. All of the five bodies have been retrieved, according to the sources.
Cause of the incident is being investigated.
