A road accident killed five people and injured two others on Saturday afternoon in Midu County, southwestern China's Yunnan Province, local traffic police confirmed on Sunday.
At 13:40 p.m. Saturday, an offroad vehicle with seven people aboard ran into the left side of the front of a pickup on an expressway in Midu County of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, and then it collided with a mid-sized truck, killing five people immediately and injured two others.
The injured have been hospitalized locally, the police said.
Cause of the accident is being investigated.
