Hong Kong's famous Ngong Ping 360 cable car will be closed for two weeks starting from June 8, said the Ngong Ping 360 Limited.

The cable car, traveling between Tung Chung Town center and Ngong Ping on Lantau Island, will be closed for an annual round of servicing and inspections, said the company in a statement on Sunday.

A section of the Ngong Ping Trail will also be temporarily closed until next Friday, to facilitate the repairs. However, the Ngong Ping Village will remain open.
