This year Hebei Province, located in North China, will publicly recruit over 5178 college graduates to teach in its rural schools.
Of the 5,178 college graduates, 3,016 will be sent to secondary schools and 2,162 to primary schools. They will teach in 39 counties which are on the state's priority poverty relief and development list across the entire province.
It is the fourth year for China to implement its plan of establishing special teaching posts for rural compulsory schools in western and central counties which are on the state's priority poverty relief and development list.
Hebei, for the first time, joins the plan which aims to send college graduates to teach in rural schools after training, so as to promote rural education.
