Thirteen people were killed in three traffic accidents in China Monday, local government sources said.
A heavy-duty truck collided with a bus in north China's Hebei Province Monday afternoon, leaving nine people dead and another 10injured.
The accident occurred at 4 p.m. in Hejian, Cangzhou City, killing seven at the scene, according to the Hejian municipal publicity department. Two died in the hospital.
The truck driver and eight bus passengers were killed.
Two injured passengers are in critical condition.
Police are investigating the accident.
In another accident, a jeep crashed with a bus in the southwestern province of Guizhou at 11:30 a.m., killing three aboard the jeep and injuring five bus passengers.
Over-speeding and slippery road caused a bus to overturn at 3:40 p.m. in Laibin City, southern Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
The accident killed one at the scene and left 13 injured.
