Taiwan high court rejected former Taiwan leader Chen Shui-bian's appeal and will keep him in detention.

The collegiate panel of Taiwan high court gave the verdict this evening.

Chen was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Taipei District Court on Sept. 11.
