Two Russian tourists were reported missing in a scenic mountain in southwest China's Sichuan Province after an avalanche, said local authorities on Saturday.

The management bureau of Siguniang Mountian in Aba Tibet and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture received phone call from two Russian tourists at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, saying that their two other fellows were buried after an avalanche while they were taking photos on the mountain.

The four Russians, three man and a woman, went to the Changpinggou scenic site on October 20. When the avalanche occurred on Friday, three tourists were buried. The fourth managed to save one of the buried before calling for help.

A rescue team is heading for the site.

Detailed information of the tourists is not yet available.
