Five people were confirmed dead Monday, two days after their van fell into a river in southwest China's Guizhou Province, said rescuers Monday.
All of their bodies had been retrieved by 2:24 p.m. Monday, said Zhang Hong, a local fire-fighter who participated in the rescue.
Five people, including three men, one woman and a boy, were in the van when it crashed into the 10-meter-deep Lianjiang River in Huishui County, Zhang said.
The accident was believed to happen at 8 p.m. Saturday. Local police received the report at 8 a.m. Sunday from a local herder.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
