Truck-bus crash kills four children, injures two in east China

Four children waiting to get on a bus were killed and another two were injured after a truck collided with the bus in east China's Anhui Province, police said Saturday.
The accident happened at about 6:40 a.m. Friday at Xiage Town, Chaohu City when a truck rear-ended with a bus. The bus then ran down six children waiting to board. Four were killed and two were injured, a Chaohu municipal public security bureau official said.
The victims were two boys and two girls, all primary school students around 10 years old. The two injured suffered slight trauma and bone fractures and were receiving treatment at a local hospital, he said.
The driver has been detained and the cause of the accident is being investigated.
