Shanghai police rescue 21 kidnapped babies

Shanghai police have rescued 21 kidnapped babies in a seven-month-long investigation and captured 47 suspects, the public security bureau of Shanghai railway said Monday.
Railway police captured three suspects and rescued two babies on May 23 on a train from Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, to Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu Province, the bureau said in a press release.
Since then, investigating efforts spread to Jiangsu, Shandong and Yunnan, leading to the rescue of seven babies and capture of 26 suspects.
Twelve more babies were saved and 18 suspects were seized in continued crackdown on baby trafficking based on new clues.
