The commencement ceremony for the construction of the Dali Highway which will connect two famous cultural and tourist cities, Dali and Lijiang, was held in Dali, Yunnan province on December 22.
The 259.18 kilometer-long Dali Highway will stretch from Fengyi Town in Dali to the west of Lijiang Huangshan Pass. Under the initial plan, 18.8 billion yuan will be invested, and the construction will last for four years.
The Dali Highway features the longest mileage and largest investment since Yunnan province started building roads. The photo shows the construction commencement ceremony of the Dali Highway.
