An official is under investigation in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region after his alleged diaries were posted online.
The regional tobacco monopoly administration confirmed to Xinhua that its official, Han Feng, had been suspended on Feb. 22 on suspicion of infringement of laws and party disciplines.
The online posts, suspected to be mainly from Han's 2007 and 2008 diaries, appeared in early February, some of which were still online Tuesday. They detailed Han's corrupt practices and affairs with several women, said Liao Hongxiu, director of the administration.
"The contents of the diaries could be incriminating," Liao said. He did not disclose how or why they were revealed.
