The China Soong Ching Ling Foundation (CSCLF) received donations worth 173.08 million yuan in 2009, up 58.57 percent year-on-year.
Last year, the "Future Program," one of the key commonweal projects of the foundation, helped more than 20,000 students from 124 schools in 31 provinces and autonomous regions.
The "Safety for Mothers and Infants Project" enabled 1,181 doctors and nurses responsible for maternal and child care in 94 counties and cities to receive professional skill training.
The "Teacher Training Project in Western China" provides free training for 871 teachers from Ningxia, Yunnan, Guangxi and Sichuan.
