Nine people were buried after a tunnel being built in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region caved in Sunday, the local police said.
The accident took place at about 4 p.m. Sunday when a section of a tunnel suddenly collapsed in Binyang County of Nanning, capital of Guangxi, according to an officer with the Nanning Municipal Public Security Bureau.
Rescuers are searching for the nine people.
No more details are available so far.
