More than 2,000 children and their parents from 11 local charities were invited to "Toy Story 3" 3-D charity premiere in 11 cinemas across the city on Wednesday.
Disney hopes the charity premiere, the biggest of its kind in Hong Kong, could bring more memorable family experiences to community groups.
"While other people take movie-going for granted, it is a real treat for our kids, and many of them will treasure this 3-D cinema experience with their families," said Marcia Aw, executive director of Changing Young Lives Hong Kong, one of the participating charities.
A statement by the theme park said the 2,000-some audiences brings the total number of people benefiting from Disney-sponsored movie programs to 5,000 in the city.
