Senior political advisor sacked in east China province

The provincial political advisory body in east China's Jiangxi has decided to sack its vice chairman Song Chenguang, who is under investigation for discipline violations.
Song, vice chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), has also been deprived of his CPPCC membership, the standing committee of the provincial advisory body said on Thursday.
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China is investigating Song and the results of the investigation are yet to be disclosed.
Song, 58, graduated from the China University of Political Science and Law. He became vice chairman of the CPPCC Jiangxi Provincial Committee in January 2008.
