The legislature of southwest China's Guizhou Province on Monday appointed Zhao Kezhi the acting governor of the province.
The appointment was made at the 17th session of the Standing Committee of the 11th Guizhou Provincial People's Congress.
The session also accepted the resignation of Lin Shusen, the governor of Guizhou Province.
Zhao is a native of Laixi City in east China's Shandong Province. He joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) in 1975.
Zhao served as deputy CPC chief in east China's Jiangsu Province between April 2006 and August 2010.
