The online voting for the "Wang Hai Cup Chinese Entrepreneur Award for Outstanding Contribution" will be launched on Sept. 6. The public can visit the official online voting platform built by People's Daily Online and vote for candidates that they think best represent Chinese entrepreneurship.

As part of the 2010 International Chinese Business Festival to be held in Shangqiu, the selection aims to recognize Chinese entrepreneurs who have made outstanding contributions to China's economic and social development, to carry forward the fine traditional Chinese business culture, and to expand the global influence of Chinese business culture.

In addition to the 10 "Wang Hai Cup Chinese Entrepreneur Award for Outstanding Contribution" winners, there will also be 30 winners for the "Wang Hai Cup Outstanding Chinese Entrepreneur Award," and the results will be based on judges' decisions and Internet voting.

The panel of judges has already nominated 100 patriotic and law-abiding entrepreneurs for the two awards according to their management abilities, contributions to national development, participation in social welfare activities, reputation, public acceptance and other aspects.

This selection activity will be jointly held by the 2010 World Chinese Entrepreneurs Cultural Festival Organizing Committee in Shangqiu, China, People's Daily Online and the World Eminence Chinese Business Association. The online voting will end on Sept. 26.
