China will allocate a one-time living allowance to anti-Japanese war veterans living in the countryside in the mainland to mark the 65th anniversary of China’s victory in the Anti-Japanese War, according to the Ministry of Civil Affairs.
The allowance shows the care of the Party and the country to the veterans who contributed to the victory in the Anti-Japanese War, the ministry says.
Those who joined the army and fought against Japanese invaders between July 7, 1937 and Sept. 2, 1945 will receive 3,000 yuan from a central government fund.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs and Ministry of Finance have required local departments to closely cooperate and rapidly allocate the allowance to the recipients.
Local departments should allocate the allowance to the recipients on time under the subsidy policies issued by the central government.
They are also required to properly supervise the allocation of allowance and make the allocation process fair, open and transparent without misappropriations.
