Xinagzhou district of Zhuhai, a coastal city in southern China's Guangdong province, opened its first center for e-government recently. Netizens can post their requests and complaints on the Web. And the center also has other functions, such as supervision and performance evaluation of local leaders.
The government of Xiangzhou district requires that leaders of the district and related institutions make an initial response to the Web users who post their recommendations, comments and questions in one working day and brief the event.
