Explosion leaves two dead, two missing in central China

A plant thought to have been abandoned exploded Wednesday, leaving two dead, two missing, in central China's Hunan Province, an official said Thursday.
The explosion occurred at 7:30 p.m. at the plant in Linwu County of Chenzhou City, which shattered windows of nearby houses, killed two people at the scene, said the official of the county's government.
As of Thursday, two people were still missing.
An initial investigation found that the blast was caused by illegal explosives production, police said.
Two suspects had been detained by police.
