China will work with African countries to jointly explore new ways to boost relations between China and Africa, said a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Wednesday.

The CPC is willing to enhance exchanges, especially in managing state affairs with African ruling parties, said Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Wang was speaking to a visiting African delegation of officials from Djibouti, Niger, Chad and Togo.

China is ready to join African countries to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation, and to implement the consensus reached at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation last year, Wang said.

Echoing Wang's remarks, delegates said African countries and China as developing nations shared common concerns, challenges and opportunities.

Cooperation between African and China's ruling parties would help build parties and states, and enhance political trust, delegates said.

Chinese President Hu Jintao announced eight favorable measures for Africa at the China-Africa summit held in Beijing in November last year to help strengthen Africa-China pragmatic cooperation and promote common development.

At the Beijing Summit, leaders of China and 48 African countries agreed to establish and develop a new type of strategic partnership, featuring political equality, mutual trust, mutually beneficial economic cooperation and cultural exchanges.
