Special representatives of China and India held their 11th meeting on border issue from Monday to Wednesday in Beijing, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo and Indian National Security Advisor M K Narayanan were present at the meeting.

They conducted "beneficial and positive" discussions on the framework for the solution to the border issue, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement, without giving more details.

Both sides agreed to hold the next meeting in Beijing, and the exact date will be set through diplomatic means.
