Chinese Vice-Premier Zeng Peiyan met here on Friday with Paul Otellini, president and chief executive officer (CEO) of U.S. computer chip giant Intel Corp. and John Chambers, chairman and CEO of U.S. networking company Cisco.

In meeting with Otellini, Zeng said China will give priority to developing electronic information industry which is resources-saving and environment-friendly and conforms to China's scientific strategy of development.

He hoped the Intel company could expand its business in China and strengthen cooperation with Chinese enterprises so to seek win-win and common development.

In meeting with Chambers, Zeng hoped Cisco could expand technical cooperation with Chinese companies and jointly research and develop electronic information products including networking facilities and software so as to better meet the need of domestic and international markets and push forward China-U.S. economic and trade relations.
