Prime Minister Jose Socrates of Portugal, which currently holds EU's rotating presidency, arrived here Wednesday morning to attend the 10th China-EU Leaders' Meeting.

European Commission President Jose Manuel Durao Barroso arrived on Tuesday for the summit scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.

Chinese President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao will hold meetings with Socrates and Barroso, respectively, and Li Keqiang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will also meet with Barroso.

The China-EU Leaders' Meeting was initiated in 1998 in London and convenes annually.
