The 10th China-EU Leaders' Meeting was held here Wednesday afternoon, to discuss China-EU relations and other issues of common concern.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Prime Minister Jose Socrates of Portugal, which currently holds EU's rotating presidency, and European Commission President Jose Manuel Durao Barroso attended the annual summit.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said earlier this month that China expects the summit, held "at a historical stage for China-EU relations," to achieve substantial results.
