enegalese President Abdoulaye Wade said Sunday that China is a great partner for Africa and Chinese companies are practical.
Wade told a press conference in Lisbon that Chinese companies are more pragmatic and better at carrying out businesses than European bureaucrats in Africa.
The president was attending the second European Union (EU)-Africa Summit here. He also said Chinese products are more competitive than European ones in Africa because they are cheaper.
In recent years, with the growth of the Chinese economy, many Chinese companies have started business in Africa and other continents, and Chinese products are popular in markets across the world.
The two-day EU-African summit drew the attendance of leaders from 53 African nations and 27 EU countries. It was concluded Sunday.
