Pakistan said Wednesday that China's relations with India would not affect the long-standing Pak-Sino ties.

"Pakistan has time tested friendship with China and relations of Pakistan or China with third countries do not affect their bilateral strategic relations," said Foreign Office spokesman Muhamamd Sadiq when asked about understanding developed between China and India during Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to Beijing.

Pakistan and China have deep rooted ties in the fields of security, economic and politics, the spokesman told weekly press briefing.

"Pakistan and China have strong convergence of views on regional and global issues and Chinese emergence as a major power is a factor for regional and global peace," he said.
