China and Japan will hold their eighth strategic dialogue in Beijing from Feb. 22 to 23, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao announced here on Wednesday.

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Yabunaka Mitoji will head delegations to attend the dialogue, respectively, said Liu.

He added that the two sides will exchange views in depth on how to enhance strategic mutual trust and cooperation.

China and Japan have held seven rounds of strategic dialogues. The last round was held in China on Jan. 27, 2007.
