Swedish daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet or Swedish Daily has published an analysis on China's ongoing National People's Congress.

With the title "Inflation worries Chinese leaders" on Thursday, the article says Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao stressed that China will put price issue as a priority and take measures to control the price as a way to control inflation.

Meanwhile, Premier Wen also stressed the importance of efficiency and energy-saving in order to prevent an overheating economy.

Since CPI increased 7.1% in January, which was the highest in the past 11 years, Premier Wen put great emphasis on the control of inflation this year.

The article says that leaders in Beijing have already taken measures to control basic products' price and they will continue to take other measures including increasing support to farmers, poor people and the elderly and increasing investment in food production. These are also the measures to narrow the gap between the rich and the poor in China.

The article says Premier Wen also emphasized the method of saving energy by closing down out-dated high energy consuming and environmentally unfriendly factories. Instead more modern clean industries are encouraged.

The article reports that China's energy consumption per GDP unit has decreased 3.27%, but still a little less than the 4% target. But the Chinese government has promised to continue to invest more in clean technology and treatment of water pollution in rivers and lakes.

Another article in the same newspaper reports on Premier Wen's report and has specially mentioned the government's promise in supporting the Olympic Games to be held in Beijing this summer.

The article also reports the government's stress on inflation and thinks that it will be a great challenge for the new term of the central government.
