Latvia reiterates adherence to one-China policy |

Latvian Deputy Parliament Speaker Karina Petersone said here on Thursday that her country will uphold the one-China policy and oppose Taiwan's attempt to hold referendum on UN membership in the name of Taiwan.
While meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Latvia Zhang Limin, Petersone said Latvia highly regards China's increasingly important role in world and regional affairs, and that the Latvian parliament attaches great importance to its relations with the National People's Congress of China.
The Chinese ambassador said that he hopes the two parliaments will deepen their exchanges and cooperation so as to promote the Sino-Latvian ties.
