Peruvian President Alan Garcia left here early Friday morning, concluding his four-day state visit to China.

During his stay here, Garcia has held talks with Chinese President Hu Jintao, and met with top legislator Wu Bangguo, Premier Wen Jiabao and Li Changchun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, respectively.

The two heads of state agreed to promote the development of China-Peru comprehensive partnership of cooperation, and strive for permanent friendship featuring mutual trust and mutual benefit.

The two sides signed eight agreements and MOUs during the visit, covering bilateral cooperation in the fields of judicial assistance, economy and technology, cultural exchange, energy and mining, health, quarantine and media.

According to a joint communique issued during Garcia's visit, which started on Tuesday, Garcia invited Hu Jintao to pay a state visit to Peru in November, and Hu accepted the invitation.
