India has clarified the rumor that its Vice President Mamid Ansari would meet with Dalai, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang late Saturday.

"The Indian side has clarified to China on relevant rumor, saying there's no such plan," said Qin when required by a journalist to comment a report saying the Indian vice president planned to meet with Dalai.

"The Indian side also says that India's position on the Tibet issue is clear and consistent, and will not change in the future," said Qin.
