On March 31, the overall training for senior Olympic emergency medical practitioners was kicked off by China and France, in order to reserve high-level medical personnel for emergencies during the Beijing Olympics.
The project was jointly launched by the Beijing Municipal Health Bureau, French Embassy in Beijing and Total in China.
Since 2004, China and France have been cooperating on methods to handle medical emergencies. This training will implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Sino-French joint training of emergency medical practitioners signed in November last year.
The 40-day training ends May 10.
