Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Hamad Bin Jasim Bin Jabir Al-thani arrived in China's southernmost city of Sanya on Friday morning, the last leg of his China tour.

It is Hamad's first China trip since he took office in April last year. During his stay, Chinese President Hu Jintao will meet with Hamad and the two will exchange views on bilateral ties as well as international and regional issues of common concern.

Hamad is scheduled to attend the opening ceremony of the annual meeting of the Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) on Saturday in Boao of Hainan Province in south China.

Invited by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Hamad arrived in Shanghai last Sunday to kick off his China trip. During his stay in Beijing, Premier Wen held official talks with him.

The upcoming BFA annual meeting, with the theme of "Green Asia: Moving Towards Win-Win Through Changes", draws ten foreign state leaders as well as over 2,000 participants.

Established in 2001, the BFA served as a platform for high-level interaction between political, commercial and academic dignitaries from Asia and the world.
