Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice held talks over the telephone Wednesday evening on bilateral relations and issues of mutual concern.

They agreed to make concerted efforts to boost the China-U.S. constructive and cooperative relations, and to further develop and reinforce bilateral dialogue, consultation and cooperation in a wide range of fields.

The two senior officials also exchanged views on the six-party talks on the Korean Peninsula nuclear issue and the Iran nuclear issue.
