China will work with Laos to push forward good-neighborly friendships and all-round cooperation between the two nations.

Wang Zhaoguo, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature, made the remarks while meeting with Khamphane Sitthidampha, secretary general of Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union (LPRYU), and his delegation here on Wednesday.

The member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee spoke highly of the two countries' relation, saying China values the ties.

The Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) and the LPRYU maintained sound cooperative relations. Wang said this helped promote understanding and friendship between the two nations' young people and pushed forward the friendly and cooperative relation.

Wang hoped the CYLC and the LPRYU would further increase exchanges and learn from each other in a bid to advance the China-Laos relation and promote friendship between the two peoples.

Khamphane and his delegation said they would make efforts to further expand exchanges and cooperation between the two countries' young generations.
