Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping met on Wednesday with South African Foreign Minister Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma.

Xi said Sino-South African relations had developed comprehensively since the two countries forged the diplomatic ties a decade ago, and cooperation in politics, trade, and education as well as consultation in international affairs had been fruitful.

He said China would take the 10th anniversary of diplomatic ties with the South Africa to continue frequent high-level exchanges, improve mutual understanding on major issues, and promote trade cooperation.

Zuma said South Africa hoped to expand cooperation and consultation in international affairs with China.

She hoped the South Africa-China strategic partnership would develop over the next decade.
