All-China Women's Federation offers aid to cyclone-hit Myanmar

The All-China Women's Federation(ACWF) decided on Tuesday to offer 600,000 yuan (about 85,000 U.S. dollars) worth of aid to Myanmar for cyclone disaster relief and reconstruction.

The relief goods include water purifying equipment, lighting equipment, clothes and cleansing articles, according to a ACWF press release.

Coordinated with the Myanmar's Federation of Women Affairs, the ACWF offered the emergency aid to help the women and children in cyclone-ravaged Myanmar, and assist them to reconstruct their homes.

A devastating cyclone, Nargis, ripped through Myanmar on May 2.According to Myanmar's state media, 23,335 people died, 37,019 were missing and tens of thousands people were homeless.
