The special flight carrying the first batch of quake-relief supplies from the Sultanate of Oman arrived in Chengdu, capital of China's quake-hit Sichuan Province, on Sunday afternoon, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry.

Another flight will ship the second batch of relief materials to Chengdu soon.

These relief supplies, weighing 210 tons, include tents, blankets, and clothing.

Also on Sunday afternoon, Nikai Toshihiro, chairman of the General Council of the Japanese Liberal Democratic Party, arrived in Chengdu with the 18-ton relief materials including 301 tents, green tea, instant noodles, notebooks and ball pens.
