UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit China from July 1 to 3 at the invitation of the Chinese government, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.

Detailed arrangements of the visit were still being discussed, ministry spokesman Qin Gang said here.

Ban visited China's quake-stricken Sichuan Province on May 24. He went to the epicenter of the 8.0-magnitude earthquake on May 12to express his sympathy for those who had suffered.
