The seventh Asia-Europe Meeting will be held this October in Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesman Liu Jianchao said this at a routine press conference on the afternoon of July 1st.
The official website of the meeting, www.asem7.cn, opened on June 30. This site will release the main events during the meeting, important speeches from leaders and important documents. It will also provide information from the meeting and media services, as well as such background information on the Asia-Europe Meeting as its members and previous sessions. Chinese and foreign reporters are welcome to cover the meeting. Reporters can register between July 10 and September 20. News of the conference will be posted on the website in time.
