China will work with Ukraine to advance the comprehensive friendly and cooperative relations into a new level, said State Councilor Liu Yandong here Tuesday.
China and Ukraine are two important partners, Liu told visiting Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Ivan Vasyunyk, saying that China was satisfied with the growth of China-Ukraine relations and the bilateral cooperation in various fields.
China applauded Ukraine's support to China on the issues concerning Taiwan and Tibet, Liu said, expressing gratitude for Ukraine's assistance to China's earthquake-hit regions.

Vasyunyk was here on a visit to China for the Beijing Olympic Games.
