Abdul'ahat Abdulrixit, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, extended the condolence to the death of Zambian President Levy Mwanawasa on a visit to the Zambian Embassy to China on Monday.

Longa John Mulutula, charge d'affaires of the Zambian Embassy, expressed his gratitude for the condolences.

Mwanawasa suffered a stroke on June 29 during an African Union conference in Egypt. He died aged 59 in a Paris hospital on August 19.
