Special Envoy of the Chinese Government and Assistant Foreign Minister Zhai Jun arrived here Friday for a visit to Sudan.

Zhai told reporters at the Khartoum International Airport that his visit came "in the framework of continuous consultation and coordination between the two friendly countries."

He disclosed that he would hold talks with Sudanese leaders on bilateral relations and other issues of common concern.

The Chinese envoy was received at the airport by Mutrif Sadiq, the undersecretary of the Sudanese Foreign Minister and Li Cheng Wen, the Chinese Ambassador to Sudan.
