Nigeria to attend in Mind Sports Olympics in Beijing

The Nigerian Chess Federation (NCF) on Monday said it would participate in Mind Sports Olympics holding in Beijing, from Oct. 3 to 13, local media reported Tuesday.

Akinola Bidemi, NCF Secretary, said the Chinese government invited Nigeria and that the NCF had confirmed their participation.

According to him, the invitation was for ten players, two substitute and two officials, all expected at the competition, adding that the players' were selected on merit.

Bidemi said the players are six males and six females while the technical director, Lekan Adeyemi and herself are the two officials on the contingent.
