Chinese senior official calls for sustainable manufacture industry in Asia

Chinese top political advisor Jia Qinglin Thursday called on Chinese manufacture industry to learn from world advanced enterprises and work with other Asian countries to jointly build a sustainable Asian manufacture industry.

Jia, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, China's top political advisory body, made the remarks in a meeting with Woo Nam-Kyun, president and CEO of LG Electronics China Headquarters, and some other foreign guests who attended the second Asian manufacture industry forum which concluded on Thursday morning in Shenyang city of northeast China.

Jia hailed the holding of the forum, saying the forum has provided a platform for exchanges between Asian enterprises of manufacture industry and has had extensive and useful discussion on building a sustainable manufacture industry in Asia.

He said China's manufacture industry, with an increasingly growing scale and improved industry structure and technology level, is making contribution to the prosperity of world manufacture industry.

Noting that there's closer and closer link between China and the world's manufacture industry, Jia called on Chinese enterprises to learn from world advanced enterprises, strengthen exchanges and share experiences, and to work together with Asian countries for a sustainable manufacture industry in Asia.

Woo said the holding of the forum was very timely and has provided an good opportunity for the exchanges between manufacture enterprises.

The other foreign entrepreneurs said they are ready to strengthen cooperation with China to promote common development.
